On the 1st September 2012 Richard Clement, of Ancora Solutions (sister company to Ansaback 24/7 call centre) took part in The Dick Waterson Challenge.
The aim is to raise money for charities such as Help For Heroes and Cancer Research UK by hosting an ‘Over 35’s’ rugby match, which was held at Hatchley Barn in Bromeswell. As well as the rugby match, other activities took place for all the family to enjoy such as shopping stalls, military vehicle stands and a Tug ‘o’ War between Woodbridge Rugby and Woodbridge Football club.
Richard is no stranger to the game and has played rugby all his life and has taken part in the Dick Waterson Challenge in the past so it was no surprise he jumped at the opportunity to join in once again. Blackened and bruised on his return to the office, he said “I was pleased to be involved in the second Dick Waterson rugby challenge at Woodbridge which featured 45 Rugby Vets from clubs across the region – mind you it has taken 3 years to recover from the first game. We were all delighted to put our bodies on the line one more time for our chosen charities, both of which lie close to our hearts. Over the last 2 years we have raised in excess of £16,000. My try in the last 5 was not quite enough to secure victory in a competitive game. The question we all asked, will we don the boots one more time?”
Everyone here at IP Plus PLC including back office staff and call handling agents were all very proud of Richards’s efforts to support such fantastic causes.
