Time is ticking away as it will soon be time for team Ansaback to take part in the Colchester Half Marathon. It only seems like yesterday that we did the first post announcing that will be putting a team in for the event. On the 17th March, Employees from the 24/7 call centre based in Ipswich will be travelling to Colchester to take part in the annual half marathon. As we have mentioned in previous posts, we normally have at least three people from the company taking part in half marathons around the county but this time we have seen a record number of applicants. Many who are taking part have not participated in this type of event before so they have been sticking to gruelling training regimes to make sure they are prepared for the 13.1 mile run.
Nicholas House, Sales Executive, said “I have not done any serious running for a very long time and I saw this as an opportunity to really test myself. It is also the push I needed to try and shift the extra pounds gained over the Christmas period. I wish all of team Ansaback the very best of luck and I’m very confident we will all finish in good time.”
It will also bethe first half marathon for Matthew Lawrence and when asked about his training he said “Training was slow at first with motivation to go out and run being the hardest part but after the first week or so I actually started to enjoy it which has made the whole experience a lot easier. I can really see myself continuing to train and hopefully I’ll be able to take part in the London marathon in the not-so-distant future”
We wish all taking part the greatest of luck. Stay tuned to find out the results.
