When most businesses open a new site they celebrate by turning the lights on, but Ansaback UK call centre officially switched off the lights at their new secondary site last week.
Most of the services that Ansaback provides are bespoke and as they cater for everything from brochure lines to charity donation calls. Due to the systems they use and the fact that they are 24/7 365, they felt the need to have an alternative location in case of emergencies. This has led to the opening of their new disaster recovery unit in Martlesham, which was officially opened on May 5th 2011.
Charirman of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Peter Funnell, was on hand to officially “switch off” the lights at the opening, leaving it ready and waiting in the likely event that disaster should strike.
Group CEO William Catchpole said “Whilst this may seem like a ‘belt and braces’ approach to an age old problem it does provide management with a modern solution to a significant business risk.
The new site will also be available to local small to medium sized enterprises to use in the event of an emergency. For more information please call 0800 044 3455.
